Barbara Rae (Van Winsen) Morgan was born August 20th, 1955 in Pierre, SD. She was called home on January 5th, 2024 on the wings of angles, as the snow fell that day.
She and her 3 brothers; Bob, Brad and Brett along with numerous cousins, attended the one-room school house located in Fairbank, SD. She worked at the Town and Country Cafe in Pierre, SD for 8 years then relocated to Oregon where she was employed with the East Oregonian Newspaper for approximately 20 years. In 2009 she moved closer to her daughter and grandchildren in Arkansas. There she was employed at Remington Ammunition plant for approximately 11 yrs. She was a lover of all animals especially her cats.
She was an Honorary member of the Special Olympics, St. Joe's Indian school and Boys Town. Barbara also was a big supporter of our troops and loved to be involved in putting on events for our troops.
She leaves behind her only child, daughter Jeanettee Parton (Anthony) of Lonoke, 2 grandsons; Llewellyn Hunter of Heber Springs, AR and Jacob Hunter of Lonoke, AR and one granddaughter Rosie Garringer of North Little Rock. She also has 3 great grandchildren. Maxson (11), Remington (7mths) and Grace (3 weeks). Three brothers Bob (Christy) Van Winsen, Brad (Debbie) Van Winsen and Brett (Jamie) Van Winsen; and friends.
Preceded in death by her mother, Elnora (McGruder) Luttrell, and several extended family members.
Visitation will be held 2:00 to 4:00 pm, Saturday the 13th, at Smith Family Funeral Home in North Little Rock.
