Barbara Morris, age 84, was a beautiful woman with a beautiful soul.
Barbara A. Morris was born August 21, 1940, in Detroit, MI to Leonard Johnson and Wanita Vosburg; she was the oldest child of two with a younger brother George. For over 40 years Barbara suffered from the disease MS (multiple sclerosis) which left her wheelchair-bound. The more devastating news came in 2021 when she was diagnosed with cancer. After a major surgery followed by chemo, she was rid of the disastrous disease for the time being. The cancer came back in 2024, and another surgery was performed to remove that cancer which was done in Las Vegas and seemed to be successful. Barbara and her family learned on January 2nd, 2025 that the cancer remained in her body and began to shut her system down. On January 8th or 9th Barbara and her family unanimously decided to bring her back home from the local hospital so that she could be comfortable living her last days. As of 1:50 P.M........ January 18th, 2025, she passed away.
Barbara was always known to be a down-to-earth person who never complained about anything or anyone. Everyone who met her liked her. In her youth, Barbara worked various jobs from working at the Michigan National Bank to Montgomery Wards. In 1961 Barbara met her soulmate Frank Morris and a year later got married on March 3rd, 1962, at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Detroit Michigan. During her lifetime, Barbara moved from Detroit to Redford Township and then to Livonia where Frank and Barbara Morris raised their two children Michelle (the daughter) and Michael (the son). In 1996 Frank and Barbara Morris decided to move to Lake Havasu City Arizona where they would live their remaining days. During Barbara's life, she was very passionate about crocheting, going to bingo, reading novels, and watching her criminal/trial TV shows. She was also a great conversationalist, who loved to talk about current affairs, memories, etc. Barbara is survived by her loving husband Frank, their children Michelle and Michael, and her grandchildren Eric and Garry Conn Jr.

I still have that HUGE green and black afghan blanket she made for me....And when my daughter Nicole was born way back in 1971, Auntie Barb crocheted a beautiful little outfit it for her...which she Never wore because I was afraid she would soil it....STILL have it in the original box....Also...I remember when Auntie could still play the piano; they had one in the flat they were living in , while still in Detroit...
