Barbara A. Morton

Barbara A. Morton, 63, wife of the late Eugene C. Morton, Jr., and beloved daughter of the late Shirley Smith and William Burnam, Sr., passed away on March 5, 2026.

Barbara was employed by Baptist Health for over 20 years and at Wells Plastic Surgery for 10 years.

She is survived by her daughters, Charlekia Morton and Shannita (James) Johnson; her sons, Jaylin Morton and Johnny Ray (Ashley) Johnson; stepdaughters, Jewell Crutcher and Frances Suter; sister, Cheryl Burnam; brothers, Scottie Williams, William Burnam, Jr., and Derrick (Melinda) Coffey; stepmother, Carolyn Pannell; her significant other, Malcom Robinson; 13 grandchildren; 19 children she lovingly helped raise; her best friends, Betty Hunt, Patricia Myers, and Patricia Carter; as well as numerous other family members, friends, and coworkers who will dearly miss her.

In addition to her husband and parents, awaiting Barbara's celebratory arrival home with our Lord at the gates are her daughter, Carla Frances Burnam; two sisters, Lawanna Burnam and Sharon Newby; and two brothers, Levas Burnam and Alfonzo Pannell. "Continue to be a warrior, not a worrier."

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, March 13, 2026, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Harrodsburg Road, with burial to follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
