Barbara Narducci Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kloecker-Bailey Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. - Erie on Oct. 16, 2021.
Barbara Ann Stanopiewicz Bierasinski Narducci, 79, of Harborcreek, formerly of North East, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021, after courageously suffering a lifetime of illness.
She was born in Erie on December 21, 1941, a daughter of the late Francis Joseph and Irene (Wiercinski) Stanopiewicz. This year would have been her 80th birthday.
Barbara graduated from St. Stanislaus class of 1955 and East High School class of 1959. She attended Gannon College from 1974 - 1976 in accounting. Barbara served on various class reunion committees and was chairperson for the East High Warriors Class of 1959. She also organized and founded the East High Girl's Luncheon Class of 1959, twelve years ago.
She worked as an Office Manager at various companies both in Los Angeles and Erie. She had the privilege to keep financial records for the late Rev. Charles Kennedy and Mrs. Rose Kennedy, founders of "The Community of Caring". She retired from Erie Yacht Club as the office manager in 1981 to begin another family. Barbara was formerly a member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church in North East and currently a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence Park. She also served as a Eucharistic Minister for homebound parishioners. Her faith was a very important part of her life, including her favorite saint, Padre Pio. She enjoyed spending time with her family including cooking and playing games such as dominoes.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Francis Joseph and Irene (Wiercinski) Stanopiewicz, one brother Francis Robert Stanopiewicz in 1997, a precious infant daughter, Angelina in 1987, and her beloved son, Robert H. Bierasinski in 2009, that she both missed terribly, and is reunited with in heaven. She was an advocate for parents who lost a child and fully supported these organizations even considering starting a support group in Lawrence Park.
She is survived by her husband, Louie E. Narducci, married on July 25, 1981 at St. Andrews Church. In July 2006, they celebrated their 25th anniversary with renewal of their vows with Bishop Trautman officiating. In addition to Louie, she is survived by two daughters which were her pride and joy, Nina Narducci of Harborcreek and Gina Schilajew (Mark) of Millcreek, a daughter-in-law Terri Bierasinski (Erik) of Buffalo NY, three grandchildren Christopher Bierasinski, Lisa Bierasinski, and Rachel Tanchak (Jakob) all of Rochester NY, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call on Monday from 3pm to 7pm at the Kloecker-Bailey Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 4396 Iroquois Ave. Erie, PA 16511. Friends are also invited to a prayer service at the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:30am followed by the Funeral Mass at 10am at St. Mark the Evangelist Church. Burial will be at St. Gregory Cemetery, North East.
The family is requesting all COVID precautions be taken.
The family would also like to thank the ICU nurses and critical care staff at Hamot Hospital for their compassionate care over the last few weeks

Barb was one of the nicest persons that I ever had the blessing of knowing. I visited Barb and her husband Lou often, in my Ministry of Deacon, when I was the Deacon at St. Mark Church in Lawrence Park. Barb was a very Devout Catholic that freely shared her Faith with all: Barb always offered up words of encouragement, especially to those that were in need. It is my prayer that Barb is Forever in the Loving Embrace of God. + Deacon Jim Moss

I send my prayerful condolences to Lou and Barbara's family and friends for their loss. It was such a wonderful gift to be Barbara's friend and Deacon during my time in Erie. Barbara is a woman of deep Faith, a Faith that she shared with everyone. I know in my heart that Barbara is in the Loving Embrace of God, reunited with her dear daughter Angelina and her son Robert. May God Bless Barbara with Eternal Rest and Peace, where there is no pain and suffering, and may God richly reward her for the Unconditonal Love that Barbara extended to everyone. +
