Barbara Dale Crews Nettles, 80, of Homeland, GA passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024. She was born July 13, 1944 to the late Andrew Bryant Crews and Katherine Simmons Crews Lloyd. She was a member of the Homeland Church of God of Prophecy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Clyde Raymond Nettles, Sr.; a son-in-law: Leonard E. Parker, Jr.; 3-sisters: Katherine Lloyd, Ethel Nettles and Betty Renshaw and 2-brothers: Walter Britton Crews and Ronald Jackson Lloyd.
She is survived by her children: Clyde (Nora) Nettles, Jr. and Barbara Parker; 3-sisters: Sue Geiger, Connie Tyo and Diane Arrow; 6-grandchildren: Seth (Elizabeth) Nettles, Miles (Jennifer) Nettles, Lisa (Jason) King, Garrett (Megan) Parker, Miranda (Robert) King, and Katee (Perry) Bawkin; great grandchildren: Jason Andruw (Brayleigh) King, Devon King, Bailey Parker, Kailianne Parker, Wyatt Wehr, Pearce Parker, Isabelle Wehr, Katherine Wehr, Evelyn Rose Nettles, Laiklyn King, William Nettles, Charlotte Grace Parker, Cyrus Nettles, Adalyn Jade Parker, and great great grandchild: Christian King.
A service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home with Pastor Lisa King, Pastor Ricky Knox, and Pastor Seth Paris officiating. Burial will follow at Homeland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Garrett Parker, Seth Nettles, Robert King, Joey Geiger, Brian Lloyd, Bill Nettles, Mike Nettles, and Miles Nettles. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
