Barbara Joyce Pachoud of North Syracuse, NY, passed away on May 23, 2025. She was born in Syracuse on September 6, 1941 to the late Robert Rathbun and Dorothy (Sabine).
She graduated in 1959 in North Syracuse High School. She became an Air Force wife for 21 years. Then she worked at Fay’s, Eckard’s and Rite Aid.
She sang barber shop with the Spirit of Syracuse for 30 years. She also enjoyed crafts, painting, sewing, stained glass and crocheting.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur Pachoud, whom she married on November 21, 1959; children, Debbie Pachoud-Winchell (Gary), David and Karen Pachoud (Gilson) and Donna Pachoud; grandchildren, Genny Pachoud, Ryan Laws, Dale Winchell, Neil Winchell and Deanna Winchell; great-grandchild, Lillian Hanson; brother, Randy (Karen) Rathbun . Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her brother, Gary Rathbun.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 10am-12pm. Funeral Services will follow at 12pm. To watch the service, click here.
