Gerald G. Vredenburg, 79, of Constantia, passed away on February 28, 2026. Born in Elmira, New York on October 29, 1946, he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth Vredenburg. Gerald honorably served more than 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant, and later continued his commitment to public service as an Electronics Technician with the U.S. Postal Service.
Gerald found joy in working with his hands—building, tinkering, and tending to his flower garden. He cherished quiet moments spent playing word games or watching television with his devoted wife of 54 years, Debra. Above all, he was a loving husband and dedicated father who consistently placed family at the center of his life. Known for his belief in hard work and thoughtful choices, he hoped to be remembered as someone who gave his best in every facet of life.
He was predeceased by his parents and four brothers—William, Albert, Robert, and Roger. He is survived by his wife, Debra J. Vredenburg, and his son, Michael R. Vredenburg.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services. To share a memory of Gerald or leave a message of support for his family, please visit the guest book below.
