Barbara Sue Brown Pardue, 78, of Tishomingo, Mississippi, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home in Iuka. Barbara was an accomplished musician that excelled at the piano and organ. Most recently, she played the organ for Spring Hill Church where she was a devoted member. She enjoyed being an active supporter of not only her church but also her community, and she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Tishomingo County Homemakers Club. She was very passionate about her work as an Educational Specialist with Northeast Mississippi Community College and the WIN Job Center and loved helping people. Barbara married the love of her life, Charles, on August 6, 1965, and they shared a beautiful 60 years together. She enjoyed traveling, especially taking cruises with her husband and son or exploring Europe and the Holy Land. She was a fantastic cook and seamstress, well known for her sweet potato casserole and beautiful quilts, and another notable hobby of hers included working in the yard. Her yard was always immaculate and full of gorgeous flowers, shrubs, and plants. She loved her family greatly, spent lots of time researching their genealogy, and cherished each moment she spent with them.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Charles Pardue; her son, Brent Pardue; her sisters-in-law, Sheila Brown Speece (Robert), Jimmie Mae McDonald, Loretta Pardue (Rick Dunn), and Martha Pardue (the late James E.
