Barbara Ann "Rodgers" Parton

Barbara Ann 'Rodgers' Parton, age 85, of Tallapoosa, Georgia passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026 surrounded by her family. Barbara was born on September 1, 1940, in Gadsden, Tennessee, to the late Loyd Rodgers and Donie 'Bridges' Rodgers.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her spouse, Ishmael Richard Parton; sister, Diane Eaton; brother, Jesse Lee Rodgers; sister-in-law, Wanda Rodgers; and brother-in-law, Tim Chandler.

Barbara was an office manager for 15 years with ARA Vending Service and was Baptist by faith.

Barbara leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure her memory, including her children: Darren Parton (Anne) of Tallapoosa, Georgia; and Robin Cain (Allan) of Turtletown, Tennessee; sister, Gail Chandler of St. Simons Island, Georgia; brothers, Billy Ray Rodgers of Rossville, Tennessee and Gary Rodgers (Janice) of Gadsden, Tennessee; grandchild, Airica Sobers (Anthony) of Carrollton, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Aaron, and Audrey Sobers; a brother-in-law, Lamar Eaton of Eatonton, Georgia; special cousins, Joan Bulach and Dr. Clete Bulah of Villa Rica, Georgia; and a special family friend, Joe Rhodes.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville, Georgia with Pastor Anthony Puckett officiating.
