Barbara Grace Abbott Pearce (Bobbie), 89, passed away on October 30, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, teacher, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Bobbie was born on September 3, 1936, in Florence, Alabama, to Henry T. Abbott and Maude Hensen Abbott. She was the youngest of eight children. Bobbie graduated from Coffee High School in Florence in 1954 and soon after moved to Odessa, Texas, to attend Odessa College and live with her sister. It was there she met her husband, Ray Pearce. They married on July 3, 1955, and later moved to Roscoe, Texas, where they farmed together until Ray's passing in 1999. Bobbie relocated to Abilene, Texas in 2000 where she spent the remainder of her life.

Throughout her life, Bobbie wore many hats - wife, homemaker, mother, beautician, and teacher at a private Christian school. She was creative and artistic, with a love for drawing, painting, and refinishing antique furniture. She also enjoyed working on computers, reading, writing, and studying the Bible. Above all, her greatest joy was serving Jesus. Bobbie faithfully taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School and led numerous Life Groups over the years.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Maude Abbott; five sisters; two brothers; and her husband of 44 years, Ray Pearce. She is survived by her three children: Scott Pearce and wife Dana of Tuscola, Cindy Young of Abilene, and Eric Pearce and wife Christina of Cleveland, Tennessee; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater on November 8 at 1 p.m., followed by a graveside service at Roscoe Cemetery, Roscoe, TX, for family and friends at 3 p.m.Funeral arrangements are under the direction on McCoy Funeral Home.
