Barbara Ann Scott Perkins, 73, widow of Carl David Perkins, Nicholasville, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Baptist Health Lexington. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky, on April 11, 1951, to the late Charles Scott and Stella Grimes Scott. Barbara worked as an instructional assistant at Nicholasville Elementary for many years. She is survived by her son, David Perkins (Melissa); daughter, Tara Haney (Dave); brother, Don Scott; and grandchildren, Kaileigh Miller, Jonathan Perkins, Ryan Perkins, Randall Perkins, and Bradley Perkins. She is preceded by her husband, Carl; parents, Charles and Stella; and an infant sister, Deborah Lynn Scott. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 7, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Bales officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery where bearers will be Jonathan Perkins, Ryan Perkins, Randall Perkins, Bradley Perkins, Don Scott, and Jade Gresik. Visitation will be held the evening prior, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve Barbara and the Perkins family in their time of need.
