Barbara Sue Philpott

Barbara Sue Philpott, 77, of Grove Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Grandwood Assisted Living Center in Grove, Oklahoma. She was born on August 22, 1948, in Pryor, Oklahoma to Robert Clarence Odle and Hazel Katherine Lowery Odle. On January 6, 1968, she married Lonnie Keith Philpott in Kansas, Oklahoma. Mrs. Philpott worked as a teacher's assistant at Mosely and Kansas. She also worked at the Kansas Public Library. Barbara will be remembered for caring for other children. Her and Lonnie opened up their home to Kim and Keith's friends along with numerous kids over the years. Barbara was a caretaker not only of her husband and children, but of her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Philpott; her son, Keith Philpott; her mother, Hazel Odle; her father, Clarence Odle.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim Fielden (Tim) of Kansas, Oklahoma; her granddaughter, Paige Nitz (Seth) of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; her brother, Charles Odle (Marie) of Kansas, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. A funeral service is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Kansas First Baptist Church in Kansas, Oklahoma with a committal service to follow at Kansas Cemetery, in Kansas, Oklahoma.
