Timothy "Tim" Younger

Timothy "Tim" Younger, 66, passed away peacefully at home on March 8, 2026. He was born in Jefferson City, Missouri, on December 29, 1959, to Billy Wayne Younger and Carolene (Ross) Barlow.

Tim was strong-willed with a big heart. He always went out of his way to look out for others, even stopping in the road to pick up debris if he saw it. He was incredibly friendly and never met a stranger. Wherever he went, he struck up conversations and quickly made friends.

Tim was a lifelong welder who owned and operated Younger and Son Welding for more than 20 years. He loved metalwork and took great pride in his craft. He was also passionate about building hot rods and riding motorcycles. In his spare time, Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing, and collecting what he proudly referred to as "good shit."

Above all else, Tim loved spending time with his family. His greatest joy was being with his grandchildren and spoiling them whenever he could. He was a loving husband, father, Pops, son, and friend whose memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Randy Younger, and father-in-law, Dwayne Red Forrest.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Brenda Younger of Colcord, OK; children, Kristin "George" Shackelford and husband Matt of Colcord, OK, and Coleman Younger of Miami, OK; sister, Dena Bateman and husband Joe of Watts, OK; grandchildren, Addy Shackelford and Weston Shackelford; and in-laws, Ray and Nancy Masters of Jay, Oklahoma.

A celebration of life will be held at the First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
