Barbara Ann Plahn, 95 of Yorktown VA passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Harold William Plahn, sons Brian Harold, Brady Gerard and Patrick Plahn her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Barbara leaves behind two sons Gerard Plahn (Tonya), Gregory Plahn and daughter Maria Plahn Wilson (David) and grandchildren Ryan Larwa, Brianna Wilson and Dylan Plahn.
Barbara was born and raised in Pierce, Nebraska, the daughter of Frank and Marcella (Roskopf) Raubach. On October 24, 1949 Barbara married Harold Plahn and accompanied him during his years in the United States Air Force to several military bases around the world. She was also a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Yorktown. Barbara's greatest love was her grandchildren and each one held a special place in her heart.
We will remember her life for the love she shared, the lives she touched and the wonderful memories that will remain forever in our hearts. May her soul rest in peace.
Barb and Harry will be laid to rest together at Arlington National Cemetery next to their son Brian. Arrangements are under the care of Amory Funeral home in Yorktown. Funeral services are private.

Kimberly James--

(Riverside Cardiology Specialist)I am truly going to miss seeing her at the Cardiologist Office. I just seen her and gave her the biggest hug. There will never be another Barbara Plahn. My Condolences go out to the family and I am keeping you in prayer.
