Barbara Poling, age 73, passed away on January 10, 2024. Born on August 15, 1950, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Fred and Helen (nee Heysler) Bott.
Barbara was the beloved wife of Jerry Poling and the devoted mother of Chris (Deanna) and Dan (Shana) Poling. She was a cherished grandmother to Andrew, Evan, Annika, and Belanna Poling, bringing joy and warmth to their lives.
Barbara was a dear sister to William Bott, Elizabeth Ihde, the late Richard Bott, the late Catherine Bott, the late Rebecca Bott, Cecilia Moore, and Bridget Magar. She was a treasured aunt to Benjamin Ihde, Jonah Magar, and Brenna Magar.
Throughout her life, Barbara found joy in various passions. She had a deep love for baseball, appreciating the intricacies of the sport and cheering on her favorite teams. Barbara's compassionate nature led her to a fulfilling career in nursing, where she touched the lives of many with her caring and selfless approach. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, exemplifying kindness and generosity.
Barbara's faith played a central role in her life, and she was an active member of her church community. Her devotion to her family, friends, and faith left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Family and friends are welcome on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024, at 10 a.m., at St. Brendan's Church 4242 Brendan Ln. North Olmsted, OH 44070. Inurnment Holy Cross Cemetery.
