Barbara Barnett Polson

Barbara Barnett Polson, age 91, of North Ogden, Utah, returned home to be with her Heavenly Father, her eternal companion, and her loved ones on August 10, 2024. She was born on September 15, 1932, in Ogden, Utah to Joseph Floyd Barnett and Josephine Day Robins Barnett.
She met Glen Polson at a church dance and although they never danced that night they were engaged and married a few months later on August 14, 1953, in the Idaho Falls Idaho temple.
A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Barbara's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She believed deeply in the teachings of the church and viewed it as God's restored church on Earth, guiding her values and life choices.
Barbara sewed many of her children's clothes when they were younger, then graduated to piecing beautiful quilts. Her hobbies included cross stitch, needlepoint, crocheting, and crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed a rousing game of Tetris and Geografacts with her grandkids.
Barbara is survived by her four children Russ (Danene) Polson, Doug (Jodi) Polson, Shelley Polson, and Becky Polson; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters and a daughter by choice, Debbi Kartchner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three siblings, and one grandson.
Barbara's legacy is one of love, faith, and service. Her most joyful times were times spent with a houseful of family. She dedicated her life to her family and the Lord. Her life story is a testament to resilience, love, unwavering faith and the importance of family.
Graveside services will be Friday, August 16, 2024, 3:00 p.m. at Ben Lomond Cemetery, 526 E. 2850 N., North Ogden, Utah.
