Barbara was born on February 4, 1941, in Kendallville, IN to Oved M. and Dorothy (McClelland) Powers.
Ms. Powers was a member of the VFW Post 2749 in Kendallville, IN. She enjoyed painting and sold many of her paintings over the years. She could be found outside tending to her gardens, mushroom hunting or going on vacations.
Surviving are her children, Cindy (Sean) Kilburn of Garrett, IN, Debbie Stahl of Auburn, IN, Corrine Bender of Coldwater, MI, and Timothy Stahl of Coldwater, MI; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and her significant other, Franklin Richards, Sr. of LaGrange, IN.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a granddaughter; and her siblings, Pamela Jenkins, Demaris Powers, and Kenny Powers.
According to Barbara's wishes, cremation will take place, and no services will be held.
