Barbara Joan Pritchett

Barbara Joan Pritchett of Granbury, who was a beloved and devoted mother, passed away on Monday evening, November 4, 2024, in Fort Worth.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening, November 12, 2024, at the Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, 400 Highway 377 East, in Granbury. Barbara will be laid to rest next to her husband, Kenneth Dale Pritchett, at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
Barbara was born on November 11, 1937, in Rusk County, Texas. She was the daughter of Mickey and Ruth Weaver. On January 5, 1968, Barbara married Kenneth Dale Pritchett and together, they had two sons, Kyle and Mike. They lived in Arlington for many years until the 1990s, when they moved to Granbury, where they enjoyed views of the Brazos River, time spent with wonderful friends and neighbors, and welcoming their sons home for visits. In addition to being a devoted and loving mother and wife, Barbara enjoyed playing the piano, painting, and working in her flower garden. She will be forever loved and affectionately be remembered as the family matriarch and a 'mother to many.'
Barbara is survived by her sons, Kyle and wife Sharokina Pritchett, and Mike and wife Brandy Pritchett; and by her sister, Rita Sue Weaver. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Pritchett in 2015.
