Barbara Kaye Mascheall Quillin (Saxon) returned to our Heavenly Father December 1, 2023, shortly before her husband, Doyle, at the age of 78, of natural causes. Born August 24, 1945 in Albert Lea, Minnesota, she is preceded in death by her mother Berdelle Sutlief, father Harry “Jack” Saxon, stepfather Irvin Sutlief, sister Diane Srp and stepson Dereld Quillin. She is survived by her sister Nancy Johnson (husband William), sister Robin Cox (Saxon), brother Van Saxon, stepdaughter Rhonda Quillin, son Troy Loge (wife Patrice), daughter Tracy Picazzo (husband Rolando), son Therron Loge, 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Barbara was a devoted and loving wife and mother in her personal life, earned her bachelor’s degree from Park College, and achieved a senior management position within the US Army as Chief of the EEO Office at multiple locations throughout the US, Germany, and South Korea, having received numerous commendations for the skillful performance of her duties. As proud as she was of those accomplishments, she was much more proud of, and gratified by, the relationships she had with her many friends and family. She and Doyle saw much of the world together but most enjoyed their trips back home to her beloved home state of Minnesota where much of her extended family live.
