Barbara Redmond, 76, passed away on November 10, 2024, in Georgetown, TX after a short battle with cancer.
She was born on December 15, 1947 in San Francisco, CA, to Thomas and Bridgit Culhane.
Barb married Ron Redmond on December 28, 1968 in San Francisco, California. They were blessed with 3 children and 6 grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband-Ron Redmond, son- Ron Redmond Jr, and wife Sarah, daughter- Kerry Crowe and husband Keith, daughter- Amy Hillebrecht and husband Tom, and 6 adoring grandchildren- Kayla, Logan, Tommy, Anna, Carilyn and Ethan, who were the delight of Barbara's world. She is also survived by sister- Maureen Moriarty and brother- Tom Culhane and wife Joan, and countless friends that were precious to her.
Barbara is preceded in death by father - Thomas Culhane, mother - Bridgit Culhane, and brother -Jack Culhane.
She was an avid and competitive tennis player for nearly 40 years and also enjoyed playing cards, hiking, biking, skiing, spending time with family, especially at the family houseboat where she enjoyed many extended happy hours. Barb was the life of the party and her smile lit up the room. Christianity and Jesus were a large part of her life even more so than shopping which she was prolifically gifted at.
A short visitation will be held at 10:45 a.m. on Monday, November 18th, 2024 at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church in Andice, Texas. The Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Following the Mass, a Celebration of Life will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the sanctuary of Santa Rosa. A reception and lunch will be served across the street, following the services, at Andice Baptist Church.
Memorial donations can be made in Barbara's name to Unbound Foreign Children's Support Program (www.unbound.org) or American Diabetes' Association (diabetes.org).
