Barbara Jean Renaud, age 74, of Prescott, MI., passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 25, 1951, in Alpena, MI. to the late Raymond and Rosemary (Glazier) Lessard. She was one of five children.
Barbara married the love of her life, Phillip Renaud, in 1990. She went to work at Mazda Automotive in Michigan and retired in 1998. At home she enjoyed gardening, reading, cross-country skiing, playing cards, and gambling.
Barbara is survived by her children, Brian (Lesley Argiri) McDonald, Brad (Mary) McDonald, Ben (Andrea) McDonald; step-daughters, Sue (Bob) Lemmon, Sherrie (Dan) Renaud-Charron; brother, Joe (Linda) Lessard; sisters, Charlotte (Ron) Utecht, Gloria (Lester) Dise; sister-in-law, Barbara Lessard; grandchildren, Madalyn McDonald, Joel McDonald, Emma McDonald, Claire McDonald, Avery McDonald, Annabelle McDonald, Justin Charron; nieces and nephews, Lynnette Utecht Eding, Shawn Utecht, Ash Gerhart, Brandy Gerhard Potser, Carley Gerhart Feher, Jesse Gerhart, J.T. Gerhart, Lisa Lessard, Gerald Lessard, Christy Lessard McDuell, Matthew Lessard, and Aaron Renaud.
Barbara is preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Rosemary Lessard, and brother, Jerry Lessard. Family will hold services for Barbara at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Prescott. Visitation 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral at 11 a.m., followed by a luncheon. Barbara will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI. at a later date.
