Barbara Jane Atkins Ridge, 93, of High Point, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Brookdale Senior Living of High Point.
She was born April 10, 1932, in High Point, to the late Pinkey Elridge “Bud” Atkins and the late Ruth Olivia Sloop Atkins. She married Jack Raper Ridge and they spent 58 years together.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jack Raper Ridge, and sons, Phillip Keith Ridge and David Timothy Ridge.
Those left to cherish her memory; her grandchildren, Heather Ridge Stilley of Lexington, and Brandon Timothy Ridge of Decatur, GA; great grandchildren, Madison Stilley and Ryleigh Stilley; great great-grandson, Colter Hillyard; step granddaughter, Mary Stagner Welborn (Samuel); step great grandchildren, Carter Welborn and Beau Welborn; and numerous cousins.
Barbara was very active in the Mobile Meals on Wheels for Guilford County (High Point) serving on the board and a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir and played the handbells. She was a social butterfly and loved a good game of Bridge and a round of Golf.
Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00PM Sunday, February 8, 2026; at Emmanuel Lutheran Church; 1401 Heathcliff Rd., High Point, with Reverend Ethan Overcash officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:45PM, during a light reception prior to the service.
