Barbara T. Ringham

Barbara Truzinski Ringham, 76, of Savannah, Georgia, retired nurse and case worker at St. Joseph's/Candler, died Thursday, May 22, 2025. She was born June 23, 1948 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Don and Eileen Truzinski. After attending St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota, she moved to Louisiana where she spent time in Lafayette and mostly New Orleans. She obtained her master's in social work from Tulane University and moved to Savannah, GA in 2008 to be closer to family.

Throughout her life Barabara was known for her wonderful cooking and endless quest to find new mixed drinks. She was an avid tennis player, loved live music, painting, travel, reading and meeting new, interesting people. Her heart never strayed too far from New Orleans. She loved her family and took every opportunity to do things with them.

She is survived by her sister Cheri Affeldt and husband Bill Affeldt of Hackensack, MN; son Jonathan Ringham and wife Amanda Ringham of Savannah, GA; daughter Elizabeth Ringham Scates and husband David Scates of Denver, CO; granddaughters Katherine Ringham and Jane Ringham of Savannah, GA; nephews Gabe Affeldt and Jon Affeldt of Minneapolis, MN

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Pamela Truzinski.

A service will be held at 3:00 PM on June 1st at Fox & Weeks (4605 US-80, Savannah) with a celebration of life to follow at 4:00 PM at Cha Bella (102 E. Broad St., Savannah).
