Barbara & Ronald Barney

Ronald Barney:
Ronald Steven Barney passed away April 18, 2025 Hood River Post Acute in Hood River, Oregon and was 65 years of age at the time of passing. Ronald was born November 23, 1959 in Hood River, Oregon to parents William Homer Barney and Gayla (Jones) Barney.
He grew up in the Hood River area alongside his siblings, enjoying the outdoors and developing the strong work ethic and kind heart that would define him throughout his life. On October 30, 1981, Ronald married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Tait. Together, they shared 43 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Over the years, they made their home in Hood River, Portland, and eventually The Dalles, Oregon. Wherever they lived, they created a warm and welcoming home filled with family, friends, and countless cherished memories.
Ronald loved spending time outdoors-camping, hunting, and exploring nature with his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a loyal friend who always lent a helping hand. Above all, he treasured time with his loved ones.
Ronald is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kristina and Christopher Thompson; his sisters Janet Kellogg and Joanne Franz; and his brother Bill Barney. He is also survived by extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, William and Gayla Barney, and his sister Kelly Barney.
A memorial gathering will be held on their anniversary, 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Anderson's Tribute Center (1401 Belmont Ave, Hood River, OR 97031).

Barbara Ann Barney passed away September 17, 2025 at Hawks Ridge Assisted Living in Hood River, Oregon and was 61 years of age at the time of passing. Barbara was born November 11, 1963 in Glendale California to parents Stanley and Gaynel (Baker) Tait. She grew up surrounded by her family, including her sister Yvonne and her brothers Stanely Jr, Richard and John, who shared her love of life and laughter.
On October 30, 1981, Barbara married the love of her life, Ronald Steven Barney. Together, they shared 43 wonderful years filled with love, adventure, and countless cherished memories. Over the years, Barbara and Ron made their home in Hood River, Portland, and finally The Dalles, Oregon. Wherever they lived, they created a warm and welcoming home filled with family and friends.
Barbara loved spending time outdoors - camping, swimming, and enjoying nature with her loved ones. She also enjoyed coloring and watching the news, finding joy in the simple, peaceful moments of everyday life. Above all, she treasured time with her family, especially her daughter, who was the light of her life.
Barbara is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kristina and Christopher Thompson, and her siblings, Stanley Jr Tait, John Tait, Richard Tait, and Yvonne Tait. She is also survived by extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.She is preceded in death by her husband Ronald Steven Barney, parents.
