Barbara Gene Ross, age 74, lost her battle with cancer on Friday December 15, 2023, at her home in Roosevelt, Utah, surrounded by her family.
Barbara was born November 25, 1949, in Roosevelt, to Nathan and Lorraine Fillingim. She is the 3rd of eight children. She married her high school sweetheart Jerry Ross on June 8, 1968. Their 55 years of marriage was filled with love and happiness. Together they had 3 children. Her family was everything to Barbara. Her friends and family knew her as a generous and giving person. Barbara was the first person to volunteer to help out when she saw someone in need.
Barbara had many talents which include but are not limited to painting, sewing, and gardening. She enjoyed working in the yard and seeing her work produce beautiful flowers and trees.
She greatly enjoyed the outdoors. As a child, her summers were spent mostly on the back of a horse. Camping was her favorite way to spend her free time. Her favorite places to go were the High Uintas, Chain Lakes, and Carol Lakes. Barbara was known for her love of sunrises and sunsets, and enjoyed taking pictures of them to share with close friends and family.
Barbara was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1972. She regularly enjoyed sharing her faith with others by drawing attention to the Bible, which shows the promise of Jehovah's Kingdom and its hope for the future. The thing she was most proud of was seeing her children and grand-children dedicate their lives to Jehovah God and live in harmony with his requirements.
Barbara is survived by her husband Jerry Ross, children, Sheila (Dan) Weber, Eric (Danielle) Ross, & Keith (Cheri) Ross all of Roosevelt; her grandchildren, Shay Serawop, West Jordan; Whitney (Justin) Hullinger, Roosevelt; Chaz (Katie) Ross, Mt.
