Michael Bryce Timothy
April 11, 1958 – February 18, 2026
Michael Bryce Timothy, age 67, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded in love by his wife and children on February 18, 2026, in Magna, Utah. He was born on April 11, 1958, in Murray, Utah. Son of Weldon and Darlene Timothy, his childhood spanned throughout Utah and Arizona, with the most notable locations being Roosevelt, UT and Peoria, AZ.
Michael married the love of his life, Wendy Kay Shaw, on August 3, 1990, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they built a home filled with laughter, devotion, music, and a strongly bonded family connection. He was a loyal and protective husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose greatest joy was his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Wendy; his mother, Darlene Timothy; his children: Shawn Michael Timothy (“Boss”)/Sarah Timothy, Kallie Kay Timothy (“Princess”), Tori Shannon Timothy (“Liebchen”), and Connor Alan Timothy (“Compadre”); and his cherished grandchildren, Clara and Josie. He is also survived by his siblings: Lori Zenahlik Wallis, Christian Timothy, Staci Johnson, and Jani Timothy Roznik. He was preceded in death by his father, Weldon Bryce Timothy; and his nieces and nephews Nathan, Briana, Justin, and Demrie Zenahlik.
Michael served his country honorably as a Specialist (SPC) Army Mechanic, and for a time was stationed in Germany where he grew a love for the language, architecture, and schnitzel. He earned distinction as a Sharpshooter with the M-16 and grenade and later served in the National Guard. His dedication to service extended beyond the military into his faith and community.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Michael faithfully served in many callings, including Genealogy Specialist, Executive Secretary to the Bishop, and Sunday School teacher. Additionally, he donated years of his time and acumen as a genealogy service missionary at the FamilySearch center in downtown Salt Lake City. His testimony and quiet dedication were steady and unwavering.
Throughout his life, Michael worked diligently to provide for his family, sometimes working multiple jobs to support his children’s pursuits. Utilizing a diverse skillset, he excelled as a Domino’s Pizza manager and later as a Medical Assistant for Intermountain Healthcare. No matter the job, he approached his responsibilities with commitment and integrity.
Michael was loving, loyal, and fiercely protective of those he loved. He was known for his quick wit and sharp one-liners—he always had something clever to say and could bring humor into any situation. A cowboy at heart, he once rode bulls and carried a wild streak as a motorcycle rider before settling into family life with Wendy. He could fix nearly anything and seemed to know a little about everything. He always said that he made the mistakes first so that his kids didn't have to. Some of his most treasured memories were made teaching his children to fish, camping, and family road trips, all the while passing on life skills and stories.
The final fifteen years of Michael’s life were marked by numerous and intense health challenges. Through pain and struggle, he remained faithful to his family and fought tirelessly for their happiness. His resilience, courage, and enduring love will remain a lasting example to all who knew him.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the ward members who lovingly supported Michael through treatments and difficult days, and to his dedicated and diverse medical care team who cared for him with compassion in his final years.
