Barbara "Barb" Rouse, 62, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026.

She was born June 18, 1963 in Knob Noster, Missouri to Jerry and Carol (Rogers) Brim. The family lived in many places, including a year in Italy, with her father's military career before they settled in St. Joseph when Barb was 13.

Barbara married Donald Ray Rouse on July 28, 1979. He preceded her in death on January 10, 2022.

She worked alongside her husband in many jobs. Her strong will and determination helped her through many different situations.

Barb loved crocheting and vegetable gardening. An avid reader, she enjoyed mysteries and "Amish books."

A loving, caring mother and grandmother who overcame many obstacles in life, Barb was a caregiver through and through for many family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; and her parents.

Survivors include her children, Jessica Cacioppo (Frank), Janette Rouse (Justin Roach), and Davee Lanham; grandchildren, Timaree Cooley (Johnny), Logan Cacioppo, Baylee Lanham, Lillian Cacioppo, and Landon Cacioppo; great-grandson, Wyatt Cooley; other extended family and friends; and beloved dogs, Minnie Cooper and Maurice.

Natural Farewell under the direction of Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Online guest book and obituary at www.meierhoffer.com.
