Barbara E. Ryone, born on April 19, 1941, in Providence, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, with her beloved children by her side. A graduate of North Providence High School, Barbara dedicated over 32 years of her career to Ryone Manufacturing. Her commitment to her work was matched only by her devotion to her community and church.
As a lifelong member of Allendale Baptist Church, Barbara served on various church groups and boards, demonstrating her unwavering faith and commitment to helping others. She was always willing to lend a hand and volunteered tirelessly for her church, embodying the spirit of service that she cherished deeply.
Barbara was a very social person, known for her kindness and positivity. She had a special gift of never uttering an unkind word about anyone and made lasting connections with those around her. Her warm personality shone brightly during her time as a Resident Ambassador at Smithfield Woods, a role she held with pride until the end of her life.
Beyond her work and church endeavors, Barbara had a keen passion for gardening and relished spending time at her parents' or in-laws' house for family dinners, creating cherished memories along the way. She was also deeply devoted to her family, specifically her parents and in-laws, reflecting the values of love and loyalty she held dear.
Barbara is survived by her three children: Deborah Frame (Ryone) and her husband Roy Sr., Karen Rindy (Ryone) and her husband James, and Mark Ryone and his wife Maryann. She also leaves behind six grandchildren—Tania, Roy Jr., Ron, Julie, Justin, and Brendan—and five great-grandchildren—Giovanna (Gia), Hannah, Carly, Sean, and Emily.
She will be missed by her best friend, Faith LaRocque, who shared in her joy and love throughout their friendship.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Doris Shallis (Hicks) and Albert Shallis, whose love and guidance shaped her into the remarkable woman she became.
Her enduring spirit, warmth, and dedication to family and community will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Barbara E. Ryone leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith that will continue to inspire those she touched.
