Barbara A. Saari

On November 3, 2025, Barbara A. (Wiegand) Saari passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 85 years old.

Barbara was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 29, 1940, to Sophie (Buchacz) and Walter Wiegand. In the spring of 1960, Barbara met the love of her life, William. They married on May 26, 1962. They shared 63 beautiful years of marriage. A devoted and meticulous homemaker, Barbara found joy in caring for others and took pride in maintaining a warm and welcoming home. She delighted in flowers, always having cut flowers inside and a blooming garden outside. Barbara also enjoyed bowling on several leagues throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by both parents; her beloved Aunt Irene; her niece Lizette; her great niece Mikayla and dear friend Lou Williams; and other neighborhood friends.

Barbara is survived by her children and grandchildren, who were the light of her life - Brian Saari (Cynthia) of Virginia, and their children Ethan and Paige; Bruce Saari (Tristann) of Aurora, IL, and their children Jared and Braden; Mina Arroyo (Rodney) of Chicago, IL, and their children Alexander and Zoe.

A Celebration of Life to honor Barbara will take place on Sunday, November 9,2025, from 12 – 4 pm at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels in Roselle, IL.
