Barbara Ann Salisbury (Ferguson), age 77, of Alto, MI and formerly of Findlay, OH passed away peacefully on Friday, September 23rd, 2022, at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harry & Ella Ferguson and her brother Sandy Ferguson. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Salisbury; daughter, Jennifer (Danny Russell); daughter Danielle (Josh) Ramirez; and son Arthur (Jean) Skirvin, her granddaughters; Madison, Taylor, Arielle, Marissa, Mariah, and Savannah, two grandsons; Domanic and Josh, great-granddaughters; Montana and Kahliya, sister; Pat McCasey, sister-in-law; Mary Ferguson; and brother Don (JoAnn) Ferguson.
She was born on February 10th, 1945, in Indiana, Pennsylvania. Barb married Dan on November 14th, 1981, and they spent 41 years sharing adventures together. She supported Dan's Army career as a military wife. They were stationed in Fort Carson, Fort Knox as well as two tours in Germany (Kitzingen & Vilseck).
She enjoyed gardening in her flower beds, cooking, jigsaw puzzles, genealogy and was an avid movie watcher of all genres. Her favorite music consisted of Jive Bunny & The Mastermixers as well as anything that had a good rhythm she could dance to.
Most of all, her world revolved around her family. Her love was unconditional and knew no boundaries. Not only was she a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, a sister, an aunt – she was always your biggest fan. She always gave her ears for listening, advice through her gentle voice, and embraced you with hugs that made even the darkest of days seem to disappear.
With her unforgettable smile she left an impact on anyone's life that she touched. Through the incredible memories made with her, she will live on forever in the hearts of all those she crossed paths with.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Services 4291 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 on Sunday, October 2nd. Visitation will be from 2 to 4pm Sunday with the service immediately following.
