It is with great sadness that the family of Tommye Jo Salisbury, 98, announces her passing on August 13, 2025. Tommye was born in Shamrock Texas, July 22, 1927. She was named Tommye Jo because she was supposed to have been both a boy, and a ballplayer.

After WWII, she settled in Ventura County, where she spent 30 years working for the State of California, Employment Development Department. She and Wayne, her husband of 73+ years, whom she met at just 16 years old, had a family and settled down in Ventura to raise their kids. She and Wayne enjoyed camping throughout the United States, traveling the world, and spending 40+ years at their cabin in Shaver Lake, making great family memories.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her sons, Tom and Scooter, daughters-in-law, Linda and Sandy, grandchildren, David, Christine and Matt, granddaughter-in-law, Cheryl, great-grandchildren, Emily, Josh and Colin. She spent her last 3 years at Aegis Living Ventura, where she made many new friends, and continued her life-long passion of watching her beloved L.A. Dodgers. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday 13 September, 2025, at the BOYKO & REARDON TELEGRAPH ROAD MORTUARY & CREMATION, 15 Teloma Drive, Ventura, California. Pastor Neal Benson of Coastline Bible Church, will conduct the services.
