Barbara Ann Scherff, 54, a beloved mother, daughter, wife, and friend, left this world on May 23, 2025, in her hometown of Gulfport, MS. Born on March 13, 1971, Barbara's journey was one marked by love, creativity, and the warmth of family. Raised in Gulfport, she completed her education at Harrison Central High School and Chris' Beauty College, where she graduated.
Barbara worked at Fantastic Sam's, a career that brought her immense joy as she touched the lives of many, making them feel special and beautiful.
In addition to her commitment to her family, Barbara had a zest for life that shined through in her hobbies and interests. She found joy in the simple pleasures of watching 1990s movies and indulging “Reality TV” shows, and she possessed a keen eye for fashion, often delighting in designer clothes and handbags. Her creative spirit transcended the ordinary; she immersed herself in making jewelry, sewing, cooking and baking, as well as gardening.
Barbara spent time living in Kodiak, Alaska, where she embraced the beauty of nature and enjoyed the tranquility it offered. However, her heart always remained anchored in Gulfport, where she shared unforgettable moments with her family.
Barbara is survived by her children, Haley Vizy and Garrett Scott Scherff; her parents, William and Mildred Annette Andrews; her siblings, William Tracy Andrews and Colleen Marie Andrews; and her spouse, George Scott Scherff. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Kaidynce River, Vizy and Kairi Rose Vizy, who brought immeasurable joy to her later years and whom she adored dearly.
Barbara is preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Henry E. and Colleen Andrews; and Millard and Shorty Mann.
