Dick passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of Lola (nee Hehn) for 62 years. Loving dad of Rick (Dana) Scherff and Dan Scherff (Jill Hollister). Proud grandpa of Mara (Joe) Weimer, Devin (Miguel) Ortiz, Peyton (Zach) Timmers, Dylan Scherff and Aiden Scherff (Isaac). Great grandpa of Crew, June and Maeve. Brother-in-law of Dianna Scherff, Joanne Hehn and Lynn (Bill) Scott. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Family and friends will gather Friday, January 10, 2025 at the HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME 16880 W. National Avenue New Berlin WI 53151 from 6-7:30 pm. Sharing of memories will take place at 7:30 pm.
If so desired, memorials in Dick's name to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation (T2T.org) or the Wounded Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject.org) appreciated.
Dick owned and operated Aero Compressed Gases (still family owned and operated), proudly served in the US Coast Guard, and was an avid golfer and bowler (including a couple 300 games).
