Barbara Schlosberg, a beacon of love and gentleness, passed away peacefully of natural causes on September 22, 2025, at the age of 92, in Northbrook, IL. Born on September 27, 1932, in Chicago, IL, Barbara's life was marked by her unwavering kindness and the warm embrace she extended to all who knew her.
Barbara's journey began in the heart of Chicago, where she attended Jones Commercial High School, laying the foundation for a life characterized by diligence and a strong work ethic. She carried these virtues into every aspect of her life, from her personal endeavors to the loving home she created for her family.
Her late husband, Alexander, was a testament to her loving nature, and together they built a life filled with joy and compassion. Barbara was a devoted mother to Jeannette Bastin, Nancy Schlosberg, Neal Schlosberg, Andrew Schlosberg, and the late Donna Rozewicki. Her legacy continued to flourish through her nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy and pride.
The words that best describe Barbara are loving, kind, and gentle. These attributes were the pillars of her existence and shone brightly through her actions and the tenderness she showed to others. Her gentle demeanor was a comfort to her family and friends, and her kind-heartedness left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her.
Barbara's departure from this world leaves behind a tapestry of memories woven with love and kindness. Her family and friends will forever cherish the warmth and gentleness she imparted upon them. As we bid farewell to Barbara Schlosberg, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a spirit that will continue to inspire kindness in the hearts of those she touched.
