Kevin Michael Mathews

Kevin Michael Mathews, 53, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, at Franciscan Health in Olympia Fields. He was born on February 11, 1973.

Kevin was a loving man, a loyal friend, a devoted stepfather, and a proud grandfather. He attended Coal City High School, where he played football and built friendships that lasted throughout his life.

Kevin had a deep passion for music, especially heavy metal, and was an avid drummer who loved playing whenever he had the chance. He was also highly skilled in carpentry, taking pride in his craftsmanship and the work he created with his hands.

He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and relaxing in nature. Kevin was also a dedicated fan of the Green Bay Packers and rarely missed a chance to cheer on his team.

Above all, Kevin had a special place in his heart for his beloved dogs, Tange and Ruby, who were constant companions and brought him great joy.

Kevin will be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humor, and the love he showed to the people and animals in his life. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
