Barbara A. Scott

Barbara Scott passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, at Ten Broeck Commons, Lake Katrine, NY.
She was born on July 20, 1933, to the late James and Verlie (Meisner) Baker in Poughkeepsie, NY, where she spent most of her life.
She worked for many years for Vassar Brothers Hospital, first in the Cupboard until its closing and then in Outpatient Billing.
After retirement she spent countless hours with her daughter and her family and watched her grandsons grow up to be fine young men.
She is survived by her daughter, Jodi Delahoyde, and son-in-law, Dennis whom she considered a son. Also are her amazing grandsons, Shaun Delahoyde and his girlfriend, Rachael Smith and Colin Delahoyde and his wife, Amanda. She was excited to learn a Great Grandson would be arriving in May.
Barbara was predeceased by a son, Cliff, in 2008.
Barbara found love a 2nd time with Bud Grapka (1980-1988). They spent many hours boating off Point Judith, RI. Barbara's wishes were to be cremated; and it is there that a late summer ash burial at sea will occur.
A special thank you to Amber and her staff at Ten Broeck who took such good care of Mom and treated her like family.
