Barbara Sirois Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Voran Funeral Home - Dearborn Chapel on Feb. 27, 2026.
Her life was a testament to how love can transform a family into something extraordinary. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald Sirois, her one true love. She was a devoted mother to Nelson Sirois and Deborah (Paul) Pringle, a loving sister to Linda Papp, and considered Neecy (Clay) Jones the daughter of her heart.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Mary Ann Modelski and Edward Nakielski, her brother Thomas Nakielski, her cherished aunt Jean Bielat ("she's blind, you know"), daughter Lucille (Walters), nephew Robert (Papp) and great-granddaughter Alina (Hinojosa). She never forgot the love and moments they shared.

Her joy radiated most brightly as "Nonie"-her special name as grandmother to Tonya (Richard) Marion, Andrea (Christian) Zieminski, Paulie (Jill) Pringle, Joshua Sirois, Thomas Pringle, Zachary (Delia) Pringle, Michael (Lindsay) Pringle, Korey Jones, and Britnay (Roger) Hinkle; and as great-grandmother to Jordan, Kylie, Keegan, Emerson, Aislynn, Drew, Kinlee, Kennedy, Charlotte, Stella, Cole, and Avery. She was also beloved Auntie Barbara to Carter, Kyler, Rylie, Reed, and Skyler. She showered each with love and attention, creating cherished memories that will last forever.

She enjoyed close relationships throughout her life, surrounded by family and friends she truly cared for. Her cousins, Sandi Schuck and Susie Elamon, and their families were very dear to her. Her Goddaughter Jessica was a cherished part of her life and Eman, whom she helped raise and loved like a son, warmed her heart and made her family feel even more complete.

She cherished time spent with loved ones, from adventurous outings with her brother to family gatherings and annual family camping trips to Higgins Lake and especially taking her babies for rides on her Amigo. Her legacy is one of kindness, generosity, love, and an infectious sense of humor-she was never afraid to be silly or play jokes to make those around her laugh.

Barbara also had immense appreciation and affection for her caregiver Sandra, whose compassion, support, and friendship brought her comfort and joy.

A life so beautifully lived deserves a celebration just as beautiful. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of her, sharing stories, embracing one another, and preserving her memory for generations to come.
