Barbara Alveda Smiley

Barbara Alveda Galloway Smiley, 82, of Asheville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.
Barbara was born on May 21, 1943, in Brevard, NC to the late Clarence and Macie Galloway. She enjoyed camping, crafting, yard sales, and visiting waterfalls. But above all, Barbara loved spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandson, Noah. She was a longtime member of Grassy Branch Baptist Church. Barbara will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hayden Smiley; son, Keith Robinson; sister, Denise Galloway Corn; and brother, Wayne Galloway.
Those left to cherish her memory is her son, Kevin Robinson (Caroline); grandson, Noah Robinson; sisters, Rhonda Anders (Gene) and Karen Disher; brothers, Randall Galloway (Delores) and Mike Galloway; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 1:30 to 2:30pm at Trinity Baptist Church, Asheville. A celebration of life service will immediately follow at the church with Pastors Winston Parrish, Allen Rash, and Nathan Hawkins officiating.
