Barbara Ann Smith

Barbara Ann Pingleton Smith, 83, of Crab Orchard Kentucky passed away Monday March 30th, 2026 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon. She was born in Paint Lick, Kentucky, on May 14th, 1942, to the late Roy Chester and Ora Fredrick Pingleton. She was the wife of the late Arvil Smith. Barbara was a member of Watts Chapel Baptist Church. She enjoyed growing flowers, of many varieties, making crafts, meticulously mowing the yard, spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents & husband, Barbara was preceded in death by one great grandson Norman Richard Clouse III, and one brother Curtis Pingleton.

Funeral Service Date and Time: Thursday April 2nd, 2026 at 1:00 PM at McKnight Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Crab Orchard, Kentucky

Officiating Minister: Bro. Dan Gutenson

Place of Burial: Smith Family Cemetery 510 Arvil Lane Crab Orchard KY 40419.

Public visitation will start at 6:00 PM on Wednesday April 1st, 2026 at McKnight Funeral Home
