Boyce B. "Berry" Smith Sr.

e "Berry" Smith, Sr, of Crab Orchard, KY passed away March 16, 2026 at

Rockcastle Regional Hospital. Boyce was born in Clay County community of Big Sexton Creek, KY on June 26, 1944 to the

late Charlie and Addie Banks Smith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Waverly Bernice Crawley Smith.

Boyce worked for many years as a welder. He loved to watch westerns, including

Gunsmoke, Wells Fargo, and Cheyenne. He loved to hunt, fish, and tell tall tales.

Isaac Sparkman, Nevaeh Sparkman

Eight Great Grandchildren

Three Sisters, Lettie Hall, Bonnie Bowles, and Patty Holladay

Two Brothers, Jimmy (Sandra) Smith, & Dowell (Carol) Smith

In addition to his parents and wife, Boyce was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Lynn

Smith, five brothers, Raymond, Elmer, Jerry, Edwin, and Forrester Smith, one grandson,

Justin Smith, and one step son, Berry Sparkman

Funeral Date and Time: 1:00 PM on Friday, March 20, 2026 at McKnight Funeral Home

Place of Burial: Peace Haven Cemetery located at 319 East Adkins Arthur Road, Somerset, Kentucky
