Brad Smith Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Serenity Funeral Home of Bluffdale on Mar. 18, 2026.
Our beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew and friend, Brad Michael Smith, passed away on March 14th, 2026. Brad was born August 10th, 2000, to Bryan and Traci Smith, the youngest of three sons.

To know Brad is to love Brad. He had a strong personality and would fight to the death for the things that he believed and those that he loved. Those who worked with him loved him for who he was. His wit was both intelligent and thought-provoking.

Brad was an absolute joy to his parents. He made us laugh for hours. He was quick to pick up on grammatical errors and loved to laugh and joke with his family and friends. Brad was so bright, showing his intellect from a very young age. He began reading at the age of three, and he loved to read books about science to learn more about the world around him, from volcanoes to human anatomy. His earliest career choices were to be a volcanologist or a neurosurgeon, the latter in the hopes of helping his oldest brother. Brad was especially close to his brother, Austin, and they would spend hours gaming or shooting together. Brad was an excellent marksman.

Brad is survived by his parents, Bryan and Traci Smith, his brothers, Justin Smith and Austin (Chelsy) Smith. His grandmother, Barbara Van Roosendaal, His niece Abigail, and his nephew Jackson. Many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward and Connie Smith, and grandfather Michael Van Roosendaal.
