Barbara Marie Springston

Barbara M. Springston, 88, of Edinburg, passed away Tuesday October 8, 2024 at the Hospice House of Medina. On July 27, 1936 in Streetsboro, Ohio she was born to the late Arthur R. and Aileen (Keller) Power. She has lived in Edinburg most of her life and was a member of the Edinburg United Church. Barbara had very fond memories of growing up in brady Lake. She moved to Edinburg just before high school. Then raised her family in Edinburg before moving to Shreveport, Louisiana for 10 years then back to Rootstown, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Springston, Sr., on May 20, 2004 and her brother Arthur "Bob" Power. Survivors include her children Charles (Joan Hennessy) Springston, Jr., Debora (Mike) Rose, Gary Springston, her grandchildren Laura (Chris) Moore, Brandon (Carly) Piazza, her step-grandchildren Caitlin (Blair) Nightingale, Jason (Laura) Rose, Sarah Rose & Kyle Rose, seven great grandchildren, sister Edith Wirick and sister-in-law Judy Power. In honoring her wishes, private family services were held at Edinburg Cemetery Edinburg, Ohio. The family ask that memorial donations please be made to the Edinburg United Church 4081 Rock Spring RD.
