Barbara May Stepp passed away on Sunday January 15th at 4:41 am with her daugher by her side at the Kobacker House.
Barbara was born July 19th, 1947 to Margaret and Wallace Reid in Toronto, Ontario Canada.
She graduated from Taft High School in May 1966.
Barbara worked full time immediately following high school graduation. Some of the companies she worked for included Morton Salt, Waste Management, and JP Morgan Chase. She started at JP Morgan Chase in 1995 and retired in February 2014.
She married her husband Ernest T. Stepp on May 24th 1997 and they lived in Sunbury Ohio together for 26 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and having everyone together for cookouts and special events. Always a talented gardener, she spent countless hours in her flowerbeds, and kept such beautiful landscped yards at all of her homes. She made sure her bird feeders were full and loved waching all the birds and wildlife that came into the large back yard. She sent so many thoughtful cards to family and friends with her personal messages of kindness and love in her unmistakable pristine penmanship. She exuded kindness and stood firm in her unwaivering faith in Jesus, often quoting, "God is in control," even in such challenging times. Loved by so many she will be deeply missed.
Barbara was predeceased by Margaret Reid (mother), Wallace Reid (father), Paul Reid (brother), Merl Stepp (Father in law) and Louise Stepp (mother in law).
She is survived by Ernest T. Stepp (husband), Andrea Barbaglia (daughter), Gabe Barbaglia (son in law), Adam Bunds (son), Amanda Bunds (Daughter in law), Jeff Bunds (son), Josh Stepp (step son), Shana Stepp (step daughter), Lynne Plummer (sister), Susan Willman (sister), Corey Fyock (grandson) and Danielle Fyock (Corey's spouse), Victoria Barbaglia (grandaughter), and Andrew DeWeese (Victoria's fiance), Amelia Barbaglia (grandaughter), Aaron Stepp (grandson), Adam Stepp (grandson), and Ada Fyock (great grandaughter).

Sincere condolences to Barbara's family. I knew the family well back in Chicago in the late 60s when they lived with us for a short time while they were building a new home. Barbara, Lynne, and I attended Taft High School, and I admired Barbara's friendliness, self-confidence, poise. I will see to it that she is remembered on the Taft Alumni Association's memorial page online.
