In loving memory of Barbara Charlene Stowell Brown.
Charlene passed away on Saturday September 27, 2025 in Layton Utah at the age of 86.
Charlene was born May 3, 1939 to Charles Guy Stowell and Barbara Lavern (Pickett). And she was a step daughter to Grant Austad.
Charlene graduated from Ben Lomand High School, she worked various jobs but ended her career at Hillfield Airforce Base. She married Dennis Eugene Reed on April 8, 1960, but later divorced.
Charlene was a loving daughter, sister, cousin, friend, niece, aunt, mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, sense of humor, and the love for her family. She was a true source of inspiration and was always there with a warm smile, listening ear, and helping hand. She loved to read, take pictures of her family, do genealogy, go for walks and feed the stray cats.
Charlene is survived by her daughter Michelle Wall (Justin Knudsen), grandchildren; Ryan Wall (Michelle), Bryce Wall, Wayne Wall, Sherice Swain (Morgan), great grandchildren Aiden Welch, Mary Welsh, and Tobias Wall, Sister Ruth Allred Gledhill, and sister-in-law Jeannine Stowell. She is preceded in death by her son Paul Eugene Reed, brother Michael M. Stowell, father Guy Stowell, mother Barbara Lavern Austad, stepdad Grant Austad, sister Annette English, grandson Corey Reed Wall and other family members.
A graveside service will be held Thursday October 16, 2025 at the Altamont Cemetery at 11:30am.
