Charma L. Richardson, a devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, at the age of 82 in Ogden, Utah. Born on December 26, 1942, in Columbus, Ohio, Charma was a bright spirit who grew up in the picturesque settings of Logan and Ogden, Utah. She later embraced her adult life in Roy and Hooper, where she nurtured countless connections that would leave a lasting imprint on all who knew her.
A proud graduate of Bonneville High School in 1960, Charma turned her early education into a lifetime of dedicated service and accomplishment. She was an active member of the Business Women's Association in 1967 and spent 35 illustrious years with the phone company. Her professional journey was marked not only by her hard work but also by her profound commitment to bettering her community.
Charma's true joy, however, lay in her deep love for her family. She was the devoted wife of Dave Richardson, with whom she built a wonderful life filled with love and laughter. Charma took immense pride in her role as a mother, nurturing her children - Jason Skeen and Shelli Pence - with endless love, wisdom, and support. Her legacy lives on through her three grandchildren and nine beloved great-grandchildren, each of whom cherished their time with her and are a testament to her enduring spirit.
Beyond her professional and familial commitments, Charma was a woman of many interests and talents. Her passions included gardening, shopping, swing dancing, and water skiing. She loved to travel, always eager to explore new places and share stories from her adventures. Her gift for storytelling not only entertained but also inspired those around her. Charma had a gentle way of weaving memories into narratives that captured the hearts of her listeners.
Throughout her life, she shared many fond moments with her brother, Les Lewis, and sister, Sherry McCoy. Charma held her parents, Della M Schiffman and Lesley Lewis, close to her heart in her memories, honoring them as the foundation of her unwavering strength and character.
Charma L. Richardson will be remembered not only for her accomplishments but, more importantly, for her unwavering love of family and the joy she brought to others. She has left behind a rich tapestry of memories that will continue to inspire and uplift those fortunate enough to have known her.
Her visitation will be held on October 14, 2025, starting at 11:30 AM, at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, followed by a graveside service at Roy City Cemetery at noon. As we come together to celebrate her life, let us remember the warmth of her smile and the depth of her love. Charma’s spirit will forever linger in our hearts, reminding us of the beauty of family and the stories that bring us together.
