Barbara W. Stowers

Barbara W. Stowers, Born September 14, 1927. A resident of Albuquerque she passed away on January 17, 2026. Her parents, Lee W. Woods and Mary Merle Woods, have preceded her in death. Barbara was a beloved Mother and Grandmother and she will be deeply missed.

Mrs. Stowers was also preceded in death by her Granddaughter Renee McAfee.

Mrs. Stowers is survived by her loving Daughter Faye McAfee and Son-In-Law David McAfee; Granddaughter Shauna McAfee and Grandson-In-Law Nick Aragon; and three Great-Grandsons Landin Aragon, Evan Aragon, and Nathan Aragon.

Mrs. Stowers graduated from Seminal High School and Oklahoma State University. She completed a master's degree in Hospital Services Administration from University of New Mexico.

Mrs. Stowers is listed in the Who's Who of American Women, and was affiliated with Amigos De Las Americans, Camp Fire Girls, and the Rehabilitation Center. Barbara was also an Election Poll Worker.

Services will be at St. Michaels & All Angels Episcopal Church located at 601 Montano Rd NW beginning at 1pm on Tuesday February 10, 2026 with a reception to follow.
