Barbara Ann Strobel, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, left this earth peacefully after a short illness at age 88 on February 18, 2024. She will be greatly missed but is now in heaven.

Barbara was born to Euphemia and Arthur Cocklin on August 4, 1935, in Massillon, Ohio. She married Jack Strobel on August 23, 1952. They made their home in Massillon, Ohio, and then Tulsa, Oklahoma, when Jack's job was transferred to Tulsa in 1971.

Her most treasured role in life was being a loving, supporting mother and grandmother. She cherished God's word, church, and serving her family. She was an excellent cook, loved football and crossword puzzles, quilting, and had a great sense of humor. After her children were older, she managed Trippets Shoe Store in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents: Euphemia and Arthur Cocklin; her brothers: Virgil Cocklin, Ronald Cocklin, Richard Cocklin; her sisters: Doris Hauger, Peg Rearick: her oldest son: Kirk Strobel, and her grandson: Jack Strobel III.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sons: Jack Strobel, Jr., Wade Strobel and his wife, Tammy; Brad Strobel and his wife, Tammie; her sister: Evelyn Fichter; her brother: Robert Cocklin; seven grandchildren: Reid and his wife, Edna, Arron, Trent, Cody, Ryan, Brennan and his wife Krista, Christine; five great-grandchildren, her best friend Judy Marquis, other relatives, friends and acquaintances.

The family has planned a private family remembrance for Barbara in Ohio later this summer.

Arrangements were entrusted to Schaudt's Glenpool-Bixby Funeral Service & Cremation Care. Family and friends may view the obituary and send condolences to the family online at www.schaudtfuneralservice.com
