Barbara Ruth Taddy, 88, of Crystal Lake, passed away on July 6, 2024. She was born in Palmyra, WI, on July 24, 1935, to Fred and Ruth (née Cumming) Blomiley.
Barb grew up in Palmyra and moved to Milwaukee where she met her future husband, Thomas Henry Taddy. They were married on November 30, 1957. They later moved to Two Rivers, WI, where they made their home for over 40 years. Barb worked at Point Beach Nuclear Plant and was a loving wife and mother.
After Tom’s passing in October 1998, Barb relocated to Crystal Lake to be closer to family. She enjoyed watching old western movies, reading, shopping, playing cards and traveling with family. Despite not being an avid cook, she was known for her German potato salad. Barb’s loving nature and simple happiness will be deeply missed.
Barb is survived by her five children, Terri (Mark) Berkowitz, Margaret “Peggy” (Edward) Kisman, Timothy Taddy, Jerome Taddy, and Karen (Craig) Nelson; nine grandchildren, Julie (James) Rienstra, Edward (Preston) Kisman, Jacqueline (Stephen) Kisman, Daniel (Christy) Berkowitz, Thomas (Ashley) Berkowitz, Gregory Taddy, Megan Taddy, Matthew Taddy, and Thomas Taddy; ten great-grandchildren, Bella, Emmy, Ender, Aly, Alexa, Brooklyn, Jackson, Edward, Olivia, and Luke; and her brother-in-law, John Orchard, and sister-in-law, Nancy Blomiley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; her granddaughter, Mae Kisman; great-grandson, Joseph Rienstra; and her siblings, Patricia (Donald) Martens, MaryEllen Orchard, and Gerald Blomiley.
Visitation on Friday, July 19th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Parish, 3201 Mishicot Rd, Two Rivers, WI. A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
