Barbara Sue Talley

Barbara Sue Talley, 79, resident of Waterloo, widow of Michael James "Pete" Talley passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026 at NHC of Greenwood.

Born in Clayton, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Mary Viola Watts and J.L. Dodgins.

Barbara was a homemaker and a devoted mother. She is survived by her children, Kenny Talley (Traci) of Greenwood, Tina Thompson (Steve) of Greenwood, Timmy Talley (Wendy) of Waterloo; grandchildren Gabbi, Tanner, Halli Talley (Leif), Aaron Talley, and Tyler Talley (Heather); great grandchildren Nathaniel, Weston, and Colsen Talley; along with siblings Betty Justice (James) of Dillard, Ga, Letha Hamilton (Rodger) of Liberty, Kathy Hunter ( Michael) of Hollywood, Ga, Grub Dodgins (Diane) of Clarksville, GA and Lewis Dodgins of Clayton, GA. In addition to her husband and parents, Barbara was predeceased by her brother John Dodgins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, March 31 from the Chapel of Blyth Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 3:30pm Tuesday at Macedonia Cemetery, 341 Jerry Gap Rd., Clayton, GA 30525.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Tuesday at the funeral home from 10:00am until 11:00am.
