Yadkinville – Barbara Ann Pilley Taylor, 80, passed away January 27, 2024. She was born August 11, 1943 to the late James and Leola Chapman Pilley. Barbara retired from the Town of Lunenburg where she was the secretary for the Department of Public Works. She loved her kids and was very proud to be their mother. She loved her friends and her church family and also loved being around little babies and children. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John Henry Taylor; brother, Edward “Eddie” Pilley. Surviving are her children; Darrell Guertin, Brian Guertin and wife Dana, Kim Rivera and husband Pedro, Trisha Weedman and husband Thomas; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother, James “Jimmy” Pilley, Mark Pilley and wife Hannah; sister, Janet Rasmussen. Her memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 2, 2024 at South Oak Ridge Baptist Church by the Rev. Chris Hauser and the Rev. Phil Beavers. A time to fellowship will follow in the fellowship hall at South Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Online condolences can be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
